University professor Dr. Martin Halle is the Medical Director of the Centre for Preventive and Sports Medicine. He specialises in internal medicine, cardiology and sports medicine and preventive cardiovascular medicine DGPR®.
Every year, he examines more than 10,000 patients, with statutory and private health insurance, in his three outpatient clinics and advises them individually on exercise, diet and stress management.
His scientific interest lies in prevention of and recovery from cardiovascular diseases and cancer, with lifestyle changes, especially physical exercise. Internationally, Professor Halle is one of the leading scientists in his field of research. He is an expert in the field of “sports cardiology”.
Professor Halle is the Chair of the Department for Prevention, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at Klinikum Rechts der Isar university medical clinic / Technical University of Munich, as well as at the Department of Sport and Health Sciences at the Technical University of Munich. For the years 2020 to 2022 he has been elected President of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
