Research priorities
- How can physical activity be used as a complementary therapy option to drug therapies for a wide variety of diseases, such as systolic or diastolic heart failure, cancer or obesity and metabolic syndrome in childhood and adulthood?
- What effects do acute stress such as running a marathon have on the metabolism, immune system and heart function?
The aim of our clinical studies is to understand disease processes even more precisely in order to guarantee each individual patient the best possible, individual advice and care. Our scientific interest is in the prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular and cancer diseases through lifestyle changes, especially through physical training.
