A healthy lifestyle, combined with exercise and physical aktivitiy, can prevent cancer. Scientists have been able to show that a healthy diet and physical fitness reduce the risk of developing cancer. However, if you are overweight and have a sedentary lifestyle, it has been proven that the risk of cancer increases. An additional positive side effect of physical fitness is an improved tolerance to chemotherapy.
At our institute prospective studies were carried out on BRCA1/2 mutation carriers - with the result that physical activity and a healthy lifestyle reduce the risk of breast cancer.
